Van Winton is a native of Piggott, Arkansas. The owner of Clay County Abstract and Title Insurance, Inc. and Community Title & Escrow, he operates in four counties in Arkansas. His family has been in the Abstract and Title Insurance business since 1886. After retiring from the U. S. Marine Corps in 1995, he returned to his hometown to assist in the family business. In 2000, he purchased the company from his parents. He is very proud of the fact that his mother, who has been in the title industry for over 50 years, assists him daily in the operation of the company. A member of the Arkansas Land Title Association where he served as President in 2002 and again in 2012. He has served on various committees and boards for the Association, to include the Chair for the Legislative Committee which completely rewrote and was able to enact the Title Insurance Act in 2007 which not only strengthened the standards, but also protected the title insurance agents in Arkansas. Appointed by Governor 2008 to the Arkansas Abstractors Board in which he serves as the Chair. He has worked extensively with the Arkansas Insurance Department in different capacities and duties, most recently as the representative to review and update the title insurance agent’s licensing examination. Recipient of the 2008 “Titleperson” of the year and 2013 Distinguished Service award from the Arkansas Land Title Association. Founding member of the Arkansas Association of Independent Land Title Agents and elected to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Independent Land Title Agents in 2013 where he serves as Chairman of the Political Action Committee. He now resides in Paragould, Arkansas with his wife, Glenda. They have four children and 3 grandchildren.

Margaret is originally from Southern Indiana and has resided in NE Indiana since 1985 . She graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. Margaret has closed loans for over 30 years. She founded Columbia Land Title Company in Northeast Indiana. She sold her company to Metropolitan Title Company in 2002 and through a series of events, is now one of the current owners of Metropolitan Title of Indiana, LLC.
Margaret is a licensed instructor for the Professional Licensing Agency of Indiana as well as the Indiana Department of Insurance. Margaret is a member of the Indiana Land Title Association, National Association of Independent Land Title Agents, is the Education Chairman for the National Association of Independent Land Title Agents, Upstar Board of Realtors of Northeast Indiana, the Northeast Indiana Board of Realtors, one of the founding members of the Northeast Indiana Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors and is on the board of several charitable organizations.
Margaret received the honor of being named the 2010 Affiliate of the Year for UPSTAR Northeast Chapter of Realtors. Margaret’s other interests include quilting, gardening and is a trained violist and plays with the Fort Wayne Community Orchestra, Trine University Orchestra and the North Manchester Symphony.

Mr. Miller has practiced law in the Baton Rouge area since 1981 maintaining a successful practice handling a full spectrum of business and contract matters with a emphasis in the representation of lenders, real estate agents, sellers, borrowers, builders and developers in real estate settlement and related matters. He formed Preferred Title Company in 1996 for the purpose of establishing a title closing company to provide title examination, escrow closing, and related real estate title services. In conjunction with Preferred Title Company, Mr. Miller maintains a law practice as Patrick L. Miller, A Professional Law Corporation for the general practice of law. His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from McNeese State University (B.S. 1976), and a Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center (J.D. 1980). He is an authorized agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company, The Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore, and First American Title Insurance Company. Pat has developed expertise in the real estate industry throughout Louisiana in both the residential and commercial markets.
Pat is certified as an Instructor by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, and Preferred Title Company is a licensed vendor for pre-licensing, post licensing and continuing real estate education. He obtained a Louisiana Real Estate License in 1972, and has maintained an active Broker’s License since 1979. He was commissioned as a Notary Public in 1981. Pat has been an instructor for NBI Continuing Legal Education “Title Law In Louisiana” on several occasions; he is the presenter for the LSBA-MCLE Professionalism Program presented by the Baton Rouge Independent Title Attorneys; Pat has been a guest lecturer for Security Title’s 2009 and 2011 Fall CE program; he was one of the presenters for LLTA’s “Title 101” CE program given to the La. Dept. of Insurance in 2010; presented “Issues Facing the Louisiana Title Agent” at the LLTA Title Summit in Oct 2010 and again at the Dec 2010 LLTA Annual Meeting; and was a presenter at the NAILTA 2012 Annual Convention, and is a co-contributor to the NAILTA Agent’s Blue Ribbon Certification Program.
Pat presently serves by appointment of the Commissioner of Insurance on the Louisiana Title Insurance Advisory Council; is a consultant with LSU Office of Assessment and Evaluation; serves by appointment of the Louisiana State Bar Association to the Secretary of State’s Notary Study Committee per 2011 HCR 45 of the Louisiana Legislature; and is currently Co-Chair of the LSBA’s Uniform Title Standards Committee (2013-2015).

Nancy B. Silberberg, President of Altus Escrow, Inc., Upland, CA, has been engaged in independent escrow since 1986. In that time she has worked with residential, commercial, mobile homes and business sale escrows throughout the State of California. She is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Political Science and Law and Society.
A strong supporter of independent escrow companies and title agents, Nancy is the 2015-16 President of the Escrow Institute of California (EIC) and previously served the EIC as the President-elect, First Vice President of State Affairs, and Third Vice President of Membership. Nancy also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Land Title Agents. She is a Director of the Tri-County Escrow Association, and a member of; The California Escrow Association, American Escrow Association, PADI- Professional Association of Diving Instructors, DAN- Divers Alert Network and is Vice President of her HOA Board.
In addition to being involved with the escrow industry as a second generation escrow officer for the past 30 years, Nancy is an avid Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and New York Mets fan. As a season ticket holder for the Angels, she can often be found in the stadium ROOTING for the Home Team while taking care of business on her iPad.
