November 30, 2010 –

After being denied an intermediate appeal through an en banc hearing at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, First American Title Insurance Corporation (FATIC)has now filed a petition for a writ of certiorarito the United States Supreme Court in the matter styled Denise Edwards v. First American Title Insurance Corporation, et al.

First American is appealing the Ninth Circuit’s holding which certified a class action against them. The Edwards case was highlighted in a June 22, 2010 post on the OAITA blog found here.
